Stephen Lewis, former special envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, provides an impassioned interview about the latest progress and challenges toward ending the pandemic on today’s Democracy Now.
Lewis is co-founder/co-director of AIDS-Free World, a U.S.-based international advocacy organization that works to promote more urgent and effective global responses to HIV/AIDS. He was speaking from the 18th International AIDS Conference, a week-long gathering of AIDS activists, scientists, policy makers and people living with HIV, being held in Vienna, July 18-23.
