Book asks: What was your ‘Enough Moment’?

Enough Project co-founder John Prendergast and Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle have reunited to author “The Enough Moment: Fighting to End Africa’s Worst Human Rights Crimes,” a new book released today. The pair also co-authored the New York Times bestseller, “Not On Our Watch.”

“The Enough Moment” highlights the efforts of citizens, both well-known and everyday folks, who were so moved by the challenges faced by individuals in places including Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, that they took action.

These “upstanders” faced down some of today’s most daunting struggles: genocide, child-soldier recruitment and sexual violence used as a weapon of war.

Well-known participants featured in the book include:

  • Ben Affleck
  • Madeleine Albright
  • Emmanuelle Chriqui
  • Mia Farrow
  • Ryan Gosling
  • Mariska Hargitay
  • Emile Hirsch
  • Nicholas Kristof
  • Martin Sheen
  • Robin Wright
