Sudanese of Maine mark Dr. King Day

Members of Maine’s Sudanese immigrant community will speak about their experiences during “From My Eyes: Sudanese in Maine and Beyond,” at 7 p.m. tonight, Jan. 17, at CTN/Hour Exchange in Portland, Maine.¬†Part of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, the event will also address developments in Sudan and feature a question-and-answer session.

The public is welcome, and international refreshments will be served. Donations will be welcomed to support the event’s organizers, which include the Fur Cultural Revival, the Southern Sudanese Communities and Hour Exchange Portland.
